At 07:40 hours a.m. as the local time (at 14:40 hours p.m. as JST) on 23rd March, 2021, our container carrier, M.V. “EVER GIVEN”, was sailing to the north at the Suez Canal in the route from China to Europe and met rough weather, which resulted in her grounding at the Canal.
We are now trying to refloat her in cooperation with the local authorities and the management company, BERNHARD SCHULTE SHIPMANAGEMENT, however, we are facing with difficulties. We will keep on endeavoring by all our capacity to refloat her and recover the situation as soon as possible.
We have not found so far any injuries to crews nor oil leakage.
