Our container carrier, M.V. “EVER GIVEN”, is safely anchored in the Great Bitter Lake, Egypt where a hull inspection will be completed to assess her condition. Diving operations are expected to be completed on 2nd April 2021. The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) as the vessel’s classification society will determine what, if any, repairs may be required.
We continue to cooperate with the Suez Canal Authorities (SCA) who are conducting an investigation of the grounding. The data from the vessel’s Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) has been shared with the investigators. The SCA teams have full access to the vessel and any data they may require in order to complete their investigations. The crew are all healthy and remain on board to assist with the ongoing investigations.
