We reported that our Pure Car Carrier, M.V. “FREMANTLE HIGHWAY” caught fire during the night of July 25 (Local time), 27km off the Coast of the Netherlands, whilst enroute from Germany to Singapore and sadly one crew member lost his life.

As of July 28, 12:00 (JST), 22 out of 23 personnel on board (21 crew members, pilot and superintendent) who disembarked the vessel are presently in hospital. We wish for their safe and swift recovery.

We have ordered 3 salvage vessels to the site and salvors continue their efforts to extinguish the fire and recover the situation under the command of Dutch coast guard. As far as we are aware, there is no reported oil pollution due to this incident.
