SHOEI KISEN KAISHA, LTD. (“SHOEI KISEN”) is pleased to announce that it has acquired a 4.7% equity stake in EITZEN AVANTI AS (“EITZEN AVANTI”) through the issuance of new shares in the company.

EITZEN AVANTI is the holding company majority owned by the Eitzen Family. One of core business is Christiania Shipping A/S, which is a fully integrated shipping company with a diversified fleet of gas and chemical carriers, supported by in-house commercial and technical management capabilities. The company operates through its subsidiaries Christiania Chemical, Christiania Gas and Christiania Energy. Following recent growth initiatives, Christiania Shipping controls and operates a fleet of 50 vessels, including 29 chemical tankers and 18 LPG carriers, with three new buildings on order.

SHOEI KISEN believes that this investment will contribute to the long-term growth of both companies by promoting closer strategic alignment, sharing of expertise, and the development of new business opportunities. SHOEI KISEN also expects that this initiative will support the expansion of its vessel types and further enhance the trust it has built with shipowners and charterers, particularly in Japan.
