Installation of the DENBA+ Marine Food Freshness Preservation System for Ships
On June 22, Shoei Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. installed the DENBA+ Marine food freshness preservation system for ships, manufactured by DENBA JAPAN Co., Ltd., onboard the 100,000 DWT bulk carrier M.V. LIN MIARAK.
By extending the freshness of food stored in the vessel’s refrigerators, the system is expected to help reduce food waste during long voyages and improve the dietary conditions of seafarers.
In recent years, there has been a growing global demand for enhanced welfare and well-being for seafarers, making the provision of balanced meals and the proper management of food freshness onboard more important than ever. In response to these needs, Shoei Kisen is committed not only to maintaining the health of its seafarers but also to reducing food waste onboard vessels.
DENBA+ Marine is a system that preserves the freshness of food for extended periods by resonating the water contained in food cells, thereby activating the movement of water molecules, suppressing spoilage, inhibiting the growth of bacteria, and enabling vegetables, fruits, and other food products to maintain their freshness for longer periods.
